INFLUENCE OF DROPLET SIZE ON SPRAY DEPOSITION AND WEED CONTROL USING GLYPHOSATE

چکیده

Droplet size is one of the most important factors that affect spray deposition and weed control through use herbicides. The aim this study was to evaluate influence droplet on Euphorbia heterophylla Urochloa ruziziensis by using glyphosate. treatments included spraying glyphosate with fine, medium, coarse, very ultra-coarse sizes determine deposition, uniformity distribution, visual control, dry weight reduction (DWR). were compared values dose required achieve 50% DWR or (C50) at 7, 14, 21, 28 days after herbicide application. Fine medium afforded high low distribution uniformities in E. . yielded lowest C50 heterophylla, respectively. did not U. plants; however, larger droplets had less distribution. In plants, coarse DWR,

Measuring Spray Droplet Size from Agricultural Nozzles Using Laser Diffraction

When making an application of any crop protection material such as an herbicide or pesticide, the applicator uses a variety of skills and information to make an application so that the material reaches the target site (i.e., plant). Information critical in this process is the droplet size that a particular spray nozzle, spray pressure, and spray solution combination generates, as droplet size g...

Palmer Amaranth and Barnyardgrass Control as Influenced by Weed Size, Glufosinate Rate, Volume, and Spray Tip

Palmer amaranth (Amaranthus palmeri) is known to be glyphosate-resistant and one of the most common and troublesome weeds in Arkansas cotton production. Glufosinate is known to provide good control of 1-4 inch Palmer amaranth, but control of larger weeds is erratic. The lack of control provided by glufosinate on large weeds may be caused by coverage issues. The objective of this study was to ev...

Weed Control, Environmental Impact and Profitability of Two-Pass Weed Management Strategies in Glyphosate-Resistant Corn

Twelve field trials were conducted over a three-year period (2010, 2011, 2012) at different locations in southwestern Ontario, Canada to compare various two-pass weed management strategies in glyphosate-resistant corn for crop injury, weed control, environmental impact, corn yield and profit margin. No visible injury resulted from the herbicide treatments evaluated. One early postemergence (EPO...

Influence of Spray Volume on Spray Deposition and Coverage within Nursery Trees

Information on better utilizing airblast sprayers to achieve high pesticide spray application efficiency in nursery tree production is needed. Foliar spray deposition and coverage at different heights inside crabapple tree canopies were investigated for a conventional airblast sprayer operating at four different application rates ranging from 230 to 900 L/ha [24 to 94 gallons per acre (GPA)]. D...
